Last week we had the absolute pleasure of taking two teams to play at the County Ground in this years Essex Cricket in the Community Mini Match Play… what a way to finish another fantastic Kwik Cricket season
Both teams played four games each, and whilst the boys faced some tough opposition in Rayleigh, East Essex, Maldon and Shenfield, they came together as a unit to put on an incredible run out masterclass every time they stepped out on the pitch. There were some legendary fielding and teamwork performances on show and a huge level of friendship and strength
The girls embraced their range of age and experience levels by playing to their individual strengths to put on an outstanding team performance in their games against Kelvedon and Feering, Upminster, Wanstead and Harold Wood. They won 3 of their 4 games losing to a very (very…!) strong Wanstead side which is a massive improvement on last years Mini Match Play result of 4 losses. They have clearly taking on board all of the bowling and field drills of the season with all girls taking wickets
A huge well done to team Captains Charlotte and Flynn for captaining their teams brilliantly and to Coach Darren for arranging and coaching the teams throughout the evening… whilst in a pink team shirt
Thank you to Essex Cricket in the Community for having us again this year, we are already looking forward to next year
